What customers say?

“ Cozy little nook next to Göta Canal and the guest harbor. Lunch 2024-01-18 and I tried their cod with bacon and horseradish sauce really well cooked and delicious, they offer two of the day + one vegetarian. In the evening they run a small copy of the cousin up in Nyköping Bons Gusto (although sold now), a very interesting menu in the evenings, it must be tried. In the summer they have outdoor seating against three of the facades of the house. ”

“ Nice little restaurant on the Göta Canal. Limited menu. Somewhat touristy setting. Honest food, plates not overly elaborate. Good food. The desserts could be a bit more extensive: limited selection. ”

- Dirk Smits -

“ This restaurant has a charming and inviting feel! With its small block stone steps down to the door, and the prominent wooden beams gave a very nice atmosphere. Really good service and food! Highly recommended. ”

“ Wow, what a fantastic experience at the restaurant Lilla Bona in Söderköping! It was my fiancé's birthday, and we chose to travel from Stockholm to Söderköping to explore the Göta Canal. Our journey led us to this gem of a restaurant located along the canal. As soon as we step inside, we are greeted by a cozy and exclusive atmosphere, which gives the feeling of a mountain cabin combined with an elegant wine bar. To celebrate my fiancé's birthday, we decided to follow the recommendation and try the appetizers. It was hard to choose from the tempting options, so we decided to try all ten and share them. What a dining experience! It truly exceeded our expectations, and each dish felt like something we would experience in a Michelin restaurant. What really made the experience special was the owner and head chef Tobias Laving, who came to us to personally tell us about the preparation of each ingredient. It is impressive to find such talent and passion for cooking. Our favourite dishes were the char, smoked oxtail, guinea fowl, venison and cream soup. The staff, including the owner and sommelier Christine Laving, were very knowledgeable and welcoming. The service was outstanding, and we really appreciated the small details in how each dish was presented. We can highly recommend Lilla Bona and look forward to returning to experience the exceptional food and atmosphere again. A true gem along the Göta Canal! ”

“ Good food and service but very noisy when we were there. ”

“ Cozy interior, friendly staff, and good food: salad, main course (vegetarian options available), drinks, and cookies and coffee to finish off lunch. Located directly on the Göta Canal and open in winter too! Very, very good. ”

“ A restaurant that has its own concept that offers small balanced and very tasty dishes with an accompanying wine package. This means that you can have a full evening and also in a very nice environment with friendly staff. I recommend a visit, good food and a nice experience at a reasonable price. ”

“ We were there last weekend. We tried 6 appetizers, everything tasted very good. If I had to point out anything, it would only be that the presentation of some of the dishes left a little to be desired. But the flavors were spot on, good wines & the service was fantastic. "Big city" level at small town prices. Nothing else in Söderköping currently holds the level ”
